02-21 Class Marino: Foundations Course, “Engage Your Imagination”

Instructor:  Mark Marino.

Dates: 10 am – 2 pm (bring brown bag lunch), Saturdays, February 6, 3, 20, 27.

Medium: Students work in preferred medium and bring their own materials. Please bring a couple of samples of your work to 1st class.

Location: Montrose Center for the Arts

Description: 4 segments, (1) The Why of Art, (2) Brainstorming with the Principals, (3) Drawing and Composition, (4) Develop Your Mass Study. This course will introduce beginners as well as challenge veteran artists to foundational segments with a focus on utilizing motivation and imagination. While “seeing” students will learn to solidify basic techniques and transfer ideas to paper or canvas. Classes will focus on painting from life.

Included: Advance payment required and includes handout reference booklet.

Students will be spaced 6′ apart at their own worktable. Masks are required. Class limit is 10 students.

About the Artist. Marko Marino. A native Coloradan, Marko’s aesthetic vision ignited at an early age. He guides his students to meet the challenge of creating the tangible work with an intangible vision. Marko’s goal for his students is to ultimately learn to know how to improve their own work.
