Here in Western Colorado, many have been preserved and a surprising number are open today, offering a variety of cultural programs to their extended communities. Among them, are the Wright Opera House in Ouray, Sheridan Opera House in Telluride, Wheeler Opera House in Aspen, and the Central City Opera House in Central City, the oldest surviving opera house in Colorado.
