Description

Pat Brown. “Originally from Massachusetts, I moved to Colorado to attend CSU and Denver University. Over the years I have lived in numerous states and had the opportunity to travel to several foreign countries.

Most of my life I have been creative, doing things like quilting for 30 years, crafts, and decorating several houses. My interest in creating fine art really started when my son left for college. I took classes at the New Orleans Academy of Fine Art and from artists like Dan Deuter, Carl Purcell, and Ann Pember.

Seventeen years ago, my husband, Bob, and I retired to Montrose. We opened an art gallery in historic downtown Montrose which we ran for seven years. Now I’m very active in the Montrose Center for the Arts.

I work mostly in watercolor and oils and enjoy painting landscapes and closeups of objects and animals. I also love doing pen and ink drawings of architecture and buildings.”

Pat Brown is a member of Montrose Visual Arts Guild, Montrose Center for the Arts, and a Signature Member of Western Colorado Watercolor Society.
